PAY AND PAY PROGRESSION
With effect from 1 September 2017, all teachers and school leaders should have received a pay award for 2017-18.
Furthermore, schools should have completed their review of teacher performance by 31 October and have started planning for the next cycle, in accordance with the school's performance management/appraisal policy, and they should have also have made their decisions on individual teachers' pay progression (this is entirely separate from the pay award) for 2017-18.
It is essential, to support our representations to Government on teachers' pay, that we are able to have a clear picture across the profession of whether teachers are receiving their pay award and pay progression entitlements.
In addition, we are also seeking your views on what more needs to be done on teachers' pay.
